As a teenager, I was 60 lbs overweight. I had no self confidence and unhealthy eating habits was my “go- to” whenever anything went wrong in my life. I was never an athlete, was constantly picked on for my weight, and had very little self confidence. Everyone starts somewhere and I still remember the days where 1 push-up was almost physically impossible. Upon entering college, I started working out at the gym with friends doing the same exercises over and over again; not really understanding what I was doing or why I was doing it…
Over the years, I learned more and more about proper exercise and nutrition. I’ve done a variety of “diet” plans and workout routines throughout my fitness journey and, through trial and error, have found the right plan that works for me. The most important thing I’ve learned is, it takes time, patience, and dedication. Over the past 7 years, health and fitness has been my new “go-to” and has helped me become a healthier “me” in more ways than one.
